On Friday 23 June, in Montredon-Corbières, almost 300 participants (elected representatives, customers, partners, suppliers, etc.) gathered around Matthieu Dubernet, Chairman of the Laboratoires Dubernet group, and his team, to inaugurate the laboratory’s new extension.
The event began with a guided tour of the laboratory, followed by a speech by Matthieu Dubernet. As well as presenting the new premises, Matthieu Dubernet took the opportunity to mark the extension of the business to include agro-ecology (Terra Mea), and to pay tribute to his father Marc Dubernet, who for the first time in 56 years of oenology will not be on the front line during the forthcoming harvest.
Jean-Marc Jansana, Mayor of Montredon-Cobières, Jean-Michel Alvarez, Vice-Chairman of Grand Narbonne, Francis Morlon, Vice-Chairman of the Aude département, and Catherine Bossis, Regional Councillor for the Occitanie region, then took the floor.
These new premises, together with the purchase of the neighbouring building and its refurbishment in the coming months, are part of the Group’s strategy of scientific and entrepreneurial development, with the launch of a new subsidiary: Terra Mea. The aim of this new company is to bring the innovations in soil analysis developed at the Montredon site to all agricultural markets.
